Lubrication Technologies Named 2008 Houghton International Top Five Distributor Award Recipient

PAUL, MINNESOTA Lubrication Technologies, the Midwest region’s leading distributor, blender and packager of petroleum and water based liquid technology, was awarded the 2008 Houghton International Top 5 Distributor Award for the third consecutive year. The award, issued annually by Houghton International, is extended to the company’s top five performing fluid distributors, by volume, throughout the country.
Gary Parkos, Lube-Tech Distribution Business Manager, remarked, “This award is indicative not only of Lube-Tech’s impressive growth and diversification, but also of the highly technical expertise Lube-Tech brings to the Minnesota marketplace. Houghton Int’l products, used primarily in metalworking and machining applications, are extremely specialized fluids designed for manufacturers who want to reduce and avoid costs, improve process efficiency and enhance finished product quality.”
Lube-Tech began distributing Houghton International specialty chemicals and lubricants to the metalworking, medical device, and steel industries in 2004. Since then, Lube-Tech has grown to become the nation’s fourth largest Houghton International distributor.
Other 2008 Top Five award recipients include General Petroleum of Fort Wayne, IN; R. Sandri, Inc. of Greenfield, MA; Parman Lubricants of Nashville, TN; and RILCO of Rock Island, IL.
In addition to the Top Five Distributor Awards extended to Lube-Tech in 2006 and 2007, Lube-Tech was also a recipient of the Houghton International Gold Award for Top 5 Sales Growth in 2005.
